Our group was relatively small, only 6 people, and our group comprised 4 of the 6. We were leery about being part of an organized group trip, but everything was outstanding: the food, the wine, the people, the sights. Cooking classes were a blast, with just the right amount of instruction and participation. The days were full but not overpacked. The all-inclusive nature of the trip was a treat--such a relief not to have to worry about the daily itinerary, finding restaurants, ordering, paying the bill, etc. Leisurely meals were a great opportunity to relax and get to know one another. The small towns, wineries, and other sights were all fascinating, and the countryside is absolutely beautiful. All the CDV staff were warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Special shout-outs to Maggie, Carla, Katia, and Sergio. It was a very special week for our family. I researched a LOT of food/cooking vacations before choosing CDV, and it is hard to imagine any other group doing as good a job.
